New Delhi, Jul 25 (IANS): A sex racket was busted with the arrest of six Uzbek women, making it the fourth such case -- and the second involving foreign nationals -- in the last two weeks, police said Monday.
"On a tip-off, we arrested six Uzbek women on Sunday night. They used to operate from Greater Kailash 2 area (of south Delhi)," a police officer told IANS.
"The women (in the age group of 23-28) had come to India on tourist visas. They will be produced in court today," the official added.
On July 20, Delhi Police had arrested five call girls and two female pimps from Rohini in north Delhi.
On July 18, seven women, mostly from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and an Indian pimp, were arrested from the South Extension area of south Delhi.
On July 12, five call girls and two pimps were nabbed from Chhatarpur Enclave, also in south Delhi.
