Why the tax revenue most of it collected from southern states are spent on Gujarat, UP and other northern states only. These states are bestowed with best of road and super fast train connectivity. No day passes without some projects being announced or inaugurated in the favourite states. All high tech manufacturing industries like semi conductor etc are set up in Gujarat though Bangalore or Pune should have received preference. The Gift City was snached from Mumbai and gifted to Ahmedbad. Compare this with the abject apathy shown to Karnataka. Crumbling infrastructure of Bangaloore is talk of the town for decades. Where is the suburban train system announced years ago? Ring road project is mostly on paper. However tax revenue collected from Bangalore comes in in handy to spend on favourites. The pathetic road connecting the only major port of Mangalore to .the Capital is in the making for years and is a cash cow for successive governments. Whether we will ever see the kind of developments taking place in the north in our district/state also? .
