Toronto, July 3: The Pancha Kalyana Bimba Prathistapana festival of Jains was held at Toronto from June 15 till June 28 in the presence and under the guidance of Jain seers Dr Swasti Charukeerthi Bhattaraka swamiji of Jain Math, Moodbidri and Dr Devendra Keerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji of Huncha Math.

The Basadi and cultural auditorium are constructed here on 4.5 acres land, at a cost of about Rs 15 million with parking facilities for 280 vehicles.

The swamiji advised the Jain doctrine of non-violence and said that Indian culture is world famous.

Dr Mahendra Jain, chairman, Jain Centre, Arihanth Jain, Dinesh, Gyanchand, Surendra, Vijay, Vipul Shah Sachindra, Ramesh Shah and others were present.

The concluding programme was held at Jain Centre, Toronto Convention centre. Bhattaraka Dhwaya Mahaveera Shastri, Salila, Shanti Nath Pandith, Indrajit and others were felicitated on the occasion.
