Vision Konkani-Daijiworld musical project enters second phase – Composers invited

Mangaluru, Jul 4: A first-of-its-kind Konkani musical project, announced by Vision Konkani in association with Daijiworld media, has successfully completed its first phase, garnering a tremendous response. The organizers received over 200 lyrics from various lyricists, which were scrutinized based on themes and lyrical richness to proceed to the second phase.

As per the project rules, the organizers are now inviting composers to create tunes and musical compositions for the selected lyrics. The composers can choose the lyrics based on their interest and the mood conveyed by the lyrics. Each composer can compose a maximum of two songs. The selected music composers will receive an honorarium of Rs 10,000 for each song. The composers who wish to be a part of this historic project must send a couple of their works to the mobile phone number 8147479876.

The deadline to express willingness is Friday July 30.

In the third phase of the competition, the selection process for singers will be held, taking into consideration, the mood of the songs. The selected singers will also receive an honorarium that is on par with the best in the industry.

Vision Konkani is the brainchild of Michael D'Souza, an NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist who has deep love for the Konkani language. He actively promotes talent in the field of art and literature, particularly in Konkani language.
