Chandigarh, Jul 26: A deputy superintendent of police Raka Gira (44) has been arrested by a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team on Sunday July 24 while she was accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lac from a realtor at her residence.
Raka has been remanded for two-day police custody on Monday July 25.
The CBI team planned to trap Raka after a realtor complained that she had demanded bribe to settle four cases of fraud and land grab against him.
A CBI officer said that they had found 1,237 live cartridges, a German-make revolver and a double barrel gun kept in two iron trunks in a dark store in her Chandigarh bungalow.
The team also found 52 bottles of high end wine and liquor in her richly stocked bar, property documents and Rs 85 lac in cash from her 1,000 sq yard bungalow where her luxury sedan and an SUV were parked.
