Mangaluru, Jul 5: Sea erosion has increased in Ullal and Uchila. A few petty shops selling eatables and several trees at the sea side were washed away in the powerful waves of the sea. As the speed of the breeze at sea side is up to 80 kilometres, powerful waves are lashing the nearby houses and sea shore.

The waves are hitting the sea shores of Ullal beach, Mogaveerapatna, Subhashnagar, Kaiko, Kilerianagar, Someshwar, Uchila and Battappadi.

Sea erosion had reduced after break water at Mogaveerapatna sea seashore. But the shops were washed away in the powerful waves at Mogaveerapatna and near Ullal beach on Wednesday. It is gathered that it is difficult to even stand at the sea shore. Heavy rain has been pounding the area.
