Puttur: Rs 2 Crore Proposal for Development of Puttur Railway Station: MP Nalin

"A proposal of Rs two crore has already been submitted for the development of Kabaka Puttur railway station, out of which work worth Rs four lac has already been completed. A new proposal will be sent asking the Puttur railway station to be included under ‘model railway station project’ of the central government," said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
 
He spoke after inspecting the Kabaka Puttur railway station with South Western railway zone Mysore division engineer C M Ranganath and other officials.
 
The present platform of Kabaka Puttur railway station will be extended to 270 meter. The level of the second platform will also be increased, he added.
 
He instructed the railway engineer to shift the Puttur railway station approach road over to Township (town municipality) management. Construction of Railway underpass in Adyar, overbridge in Bantwal and overpass for passengers in Neralakatte will be undertaken. Arrangements will be done to halt trains in Edamangala and Neralakatte, the MP assured.
 
Puttur MLA Mallika Prasad, city Municipality standing committee president Jeevandar Jain among others were present.
