Udupi: A G Kodgi Urges Peasants to Opt for Farming Machines

Udupi, Jul 27: "An alternative to the existing shortage of agricultural labourers has to be found by using latest farming machinery," said A G Kodgi, chairman, Third Finance Commission Task Force.

He was speaking after inaugurating Kissan Agrotech, a retail outlet of farming machineries at Mandarti, near here, recently.

K M Udupa of Bharatiya Vikas Trust, in his presidential address, stressed the need for after sales service.

Bharatiya Kissan Sangh district president Balakrishna Shetty Rattady, Vittal Shetty Shedikodlu, ZP vice-president Jyoti Shetty, Mandarti Durgaparameshwari temple managing trustee H Dhananjay Shetty, Vijay Bank manager Sudhakar Shetty, Heggunje gram panchayat president Asha Marati, and Mandarti Service Co-operative Bank president Gangadhar Shetty were present on the occasion.

Pradeep Hebbar welcomed the gathering.
