Kundapur, Jul 9: A terrifying incident occurred when a tree fell on a moving Maruti Swift car around 2:30 pm on Saturday while it was traveling from Bidkalkatte to Halady. Miraculously, the driver and passengers in the car escaped unharmed.

Eshwar Kulal, a local resident, was traveling with his family when a massive tree uprooted and crashed onto the car, causing significant damage to the bonnet. Eshwar Kulal and his son Ashique sustained minor injuries. There were five people in the car at the time of the incident.

The public expressed anger towards the forest department for their lack of action in cutting down the dried-up large trees that line both sides of the national highway at Bidkalkatte.

Traffic was disrupted as the fallen tree blocked the road. MLA Kodgi, gram panchayat president Jagannath, Kota SI Shambu Lingaiah, and forest department officials visited the scene, removed the tree, and restored the smooth flow of traffic.
