Mumbai, July 27 (IANS) GAIL India Ltd Wednesday reported an increase of 11 percent in net profit at Rs.984.67 crore for the quarter ended June 30 against Rs.886.88 crore during the same period of the previous financial year.
Net sales stood at Rs.8,867.38 crore during the quarter against Rs.7,095.95 crore during the like period of the corresponding financial year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
During the quarter, net sales from from natural gas trading increased by 32 percent to Rs.7,205 crore as against Rs.5,452 crore during the corresponding quarter of previous year.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company closed 0.52 percent lower at Rs.458.10,
