Udupi, Jul 11: The district BJP unit staged protests near the BJP office condemning the killing of Jain monk and Hindu activist of T Narasipur, Venugopal.
Udupi district BJP president Kuilady Suresh Nayak said that the developments in the state are horrible for Hindus similar to the Congress government term of the period 2013-2018. “We condemn the two murders in Karnataka. We warn that BJP and the Hindu organizations will come to the streets if such murders continue and urge for justice in connection with the killings,” he said.
BJP divisional in charge Uday Kumar Shetty said, “It appears that the government of killers rules us. We did not expect the government to come to this state so soon. A suspect belonging to the minority community was allegedly involved in the murder of Jain guru. But the police did not mention his name. There is no doubt that the murder case of T Narasipur activist Venugopal will also be discarded. The BJP condemns the way the murder case of Hindu Yuva brigade is considered,” he said.
Former minister Raghupati Bhat, BJP spokesperson Raghavendra Kini and others were present.
