Mangaluru, Jul 16: Vanmahotsava is the most celebrated festival of planting saplings. In an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to the school environment and sensitise our students of their role in conserving it, Carmel School celebrated Vanmahotsava on July 11.
The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill among the students values of social responsibility towards safeguarding trees and forest cover. The programme began with a prayer service acknowledging god for giving all of us life and plants and for creating us to be co-creators to maintain life.
A mime show was showcased with the theme 'plant more trees'. The theme was well depicted through their choice of music, action and movements. A theme dance was also performed by the students which brought cheerful smiles over everyone’s face.
