Mangaluru: 100 kg chocolate laced with narcotic drugs seized

Mangaluru, Jul 20: Pandeshwar police confiscated 100 kg of chocolate laced with narcotic drugs that was being sold at two places in the city on Wednesday July 19.

Acting on a definite tip-off, police personnel raided a shop owned by Manohar Shet at Car Street in the city and another petty shop at Falnir run by Bechan Sonkar of Uttar Pradesh origin.

The chocolates were called as Bang chocolates.

Cases are filed against both the offenders. The chocolates are sent to forensic laboratory for advanced examination to know the kind of narcotic drugs mixed in it. Police will take further action based on the forensic report.
