Kundapur, Jul 20: In a bizarre incident reported from Dabbekatte-Thekkatte area, a six-year-old girl who had walked in her sleep for three kilometres, was rescued by a staff of a bar and restaurant after midnight on Wednesday July 19.

The girl, resident of Korgi village, was found at around 2 am, standing naked below the name board of Swami Koragajja on Dabbekatte-Thekkatte Road.

At around 2 am, Vishwanatha Poojary of Archana bar and restaurant situated at Charkottige completed all the business and was leaving home along with the staff of the bar. He was shocked to see a six-year-old girl standing naked below the board of Swami Koragajja. He was confused as to what must have happened. After speaking to the child, he came to know that the child woke up from sleep and walked for three km without any knowledge of the route or situation.

The family members of six-year-old girl were shocked to see their daughter brought back home by the staff of the bar.

After the incident came to light, locals have highly appreciated the humanity displayed by the staff of Archana Bar and restaurant of Charu Kottige.

Baffling!! How can a 6 year old come walking out of the house??? Wasn’t it locked?? And why on earth was she naked??? It’s raining now. Who puts children to sleep naked??? And nobody noticed when she woke up and walked out for so long after she went too??? She must’ve taken more than an hour to walk 3 kms…. Strange.

Fortunate that this incident happened in Udupi or mangalore. If it would have been in north India then the result of this incident would have been different. Whatever Communal incident happens here in the coastal region that doesn't mean people are ruthless like the northern states.

Good souls still exist, hence God Still Loves the world. God Bless Vishwanath for his Noble deed at that midnight. People like Vishwanath are called Good Samaritans who play the role of saviors amidst us. May God bless this child with good health and keep her from any danger and evil. Hope parents treat her with utter love and care, so that she will feel fine soon. It is nothing but a miracle that she got saved under a temple board. Also that our places are safer than many other places, where things would have been different for this little kid.

I mean, if somebody explains the connection between this story to Sidda, Krishna Devaraya or others, I will give them a gift voucher. Otherwise, this will go on. Somebody may bring Jossey or Langool Sirs name in comments section for sleep walking and other stories. Is it not?? Thank God.. Child is safe. Not Sidda, Devraya or Gunduraaya.

Thank you Mr. Vishwanatha Poojary. God bless you. Ita korag ajja who made her stop there & protected her. But if any name Mohammed or Abdulah would have saved her & if there was BJP govt. on the top them BD would have taken it ina different way.

Somnabulism is not rare in small children and mostly wanes away on it's own; but the fact that she sleep walked 3kms is really surprising! Also if the parents are uneducated and not rational thinkers, instead of going to a neuropsychiatrist they might take the help of some tantric or occult specialist which is what happens in most villages in the country!

Great Samaritans and God bless them abundantly.... Lucky the baby did not encounter any wild animal or wild humans(!)... She is even more lucky to be in Thekkatte and not UP or Delhi... Sleep walking is something that goes off as she ages... Now the parents must secure the room where she sleeps even more...

I hope the parents don't take her to an occultist or tantric for help, which is what people in villages usually resort to!!
