I’m not supporting or promoting the sale/use of bhang. However for those commenting that children will unknowingly buy and consume. As far as I know, the accused runs a pan & cigarette counter, I don’t think that’s a place children go to buy chocolates. Lastly, they don’t display it openly along with other chocolates. They usually keep it hidden inside and take it out when a customer asks for it. I know it can still be wrong. But those commenting about their children can relax.

Bhang not prohibited under NDPS Act: Karnataka High Court. 30th Aug 2022. The high court noted that even the state government has not made any rules under the NDPS Act and has not mentioned that bhang a prohibitory drug or issued any notifications in respect of bhang. The high court relied on the judgments of the Bombay High Court and Punjab and Haryana High Court which had held that bhang is not covered under the NDPS Act.

If I am not mistaken, Bhang made from the "leaves of the Canabis tree" is legal; but "surreptitiously"adding Bhang to chocolates or any other food items could be considered as illegal as it would have wide implications! Lab analysis would confirm the exact psychotropic ingredients mixed in the chocolates! Please do your own research!!

In Delhi during Holi baang is distributed on the streets freely. They will be let off. Bang is a grey area of NDPS law and legally they cannot be arrested only cannabis/ganja flowers are banned. In North India baang is legally available in government authorised shops. Kudos to the innovation though.

Bhang is derived from the tar of marijuana plant...you can get high with it and so technically it is a drug..the issue here is lacing chocolates with it and targeting kids who might eat it unknowingly.
