Bantwal, Jul 21: A distressing incident of sexual assault on a minor girl has come to light in Vittal.
The accused, identified as Abdul Sameer, allegedly lured the underage girl from Kanyan and took her to an under-construction house in 2019, where he raped her, promising marriage.
Following the incident, the accused left the country.
Subsequently, the victim approached him, demanding that he fulfill his promise of marriage, but he refused.
As a result, a case has been registered against Abdul Sameer under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
