Kundapur: 40-year-old falls from running auto-rickshaw, dies

Kundapur, Jul 22: A passenger fell down from a rickshaw near Manur Balebettu on National Highway 66 and died on Thursday July 20 night.

The deceased is identified as Prakash Poojary (40), a resident of Padukare, Perampalli.

Prakash had hired an auto-rickshaw from Koteshwar to bring dinner for his mother, who was admitted at a private hospital in Koteshwar. While returning in the same auto-rickshaw to his home in Perampalli,
he fell off the vehicle.

An injured Prakash was immediately rushed to a hospital in Kota Jeevan Mitra's Nagaraj Putran’s ambulance, but succumbed to injuries before he could reach the place.

A case has been registered in Kota police station.
