Udupi: Uprooted Tree Stalls Traffic on NH 66

Udupi, Jul 30: A large tree was uprooted on the National Highway 66 at Bhadragiri Cross, Brahmavar, here on Friday July 29.

A long queue of traffic piled up on either side of the busy highway for about an hour owing to the incident.

The local contractor lent his earthmover to clear the tree that blocked the traffic.  Locals Sadashiv Ganiga, Vittal Kundar, Sandeep Poojary, Shankaranarayan Acharya, and Raghuram Baikady helped chop-off the branches and cleared the traffic.
