Ex Haryana CM Bhupinder Hooda meets Sonia Gandhi


New Delhi, Jul 22 (IANS): Former Haryana Chief MInister and senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday met Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chairperson Sonia Gandhi here at her residence.

The meeting of the two leaders comes in the wake of the BJP's ongoing meeting over the 2024 Lok Sabha poll preparedness in the state. The Congress had scored a nil in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the state as it was unable to win a single seat out of the 10 parliamentary seats.

Hooda arrived at the residence of Sonia Gandhi here at 10 Jantar Mantar around 11 a.m. and left from her residence after an hour.

Party sources indicated that the two leaders discussed several organisational issues of the state and the party's preparedness in the state ahead of the crucial 2024 Lok Sabha elections next year.
