Bantwal, Jul 23: Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel recently encountered a highway blockage while traveling on the B C Road Addahole National Highway, where the four-lane highway project is currently underway.

MP Nalin's car was en route to B C Road from Mani for official business when it got caught in a traffic jam at the flyover construction site in Kalladka. The vehicle had to remain stationary for approximately 15 minutes.

The ongoing construction work for the flyover and underpass at Mani, Melkar, Panemangalore, and along Kalladka highway, managed by KNRC, has not provided alternate roads for smooth vehicular traffic flow. Several sections of the highway also have large potholes, posing potential dangers to drivers.

Residents of Kalladka are demanding that their elected representatives acknowledge the gravity of the situation and find a prompt solution to address these issues.

He should seriously consider commute with helicopters. Those roads will be like that until 2024 or who knows beyond that date too. Some stretches have opened and thankfully are good. Few months ago, that was nightmare too. In the 21st century, multi-Storey buildings in Bangalore SEZs are built within few months and they are monetized immediately after. But when it comes to road, it is still going through that time tested method. OK, nature has to oblige, but data is there, it is not like we have to reinvent the wheel...better planning is what was required. In the Vokkaliga and Lingayat dominated areas, logic works, it is only DK and Udupi where we are stuck in the past. DK/Udupi needs to take matter to their own hands and plan to dominate the happenings in Vidhan Soudha. We have communicatively challenged speaker...we are half way there. Not sure Kadher sees it that way when he did what he did with MLAs of DK and Udupi. He was covering up behind Siddu to make up for his festival of incompetence in Kannada language.

What double engine extra extra special security for BJP leaders, ministers and activists. What are they afraid of???… Whereas non-BJP leaders have minimum bare amount security and in some case even that is withdrawn and still they move around without fear and threat and they are winning elections.
