Mangaluru: Youth arrested by CCB police for possessing MDMA narcotic drug

Mangaluru, Jul 24: A youth was arrested by CCB police of city for possessing prohibited MDMA drug.

Acting on a definite tip-off that a youth is selling MDMA drugs bought from Bengaluru at Padil Kembar to the public, ACP of CCB P A Hegde and team raided the spot and arrested Harshith Shetty (29), a resident of VHJ compound, Niddel Gokarna Road, Kulshekar in the city.

Police seized MDMA weighing 25 grams worth Rs 1.25 lac in the market, a mobile phone and a digital weighing machine. The total value of the confiscated goods is Rs 1.35 lac.

A case in this connection is registered in Kankanady police station.

Harshith has dacoity and assault case registered against him in Kollur police station, attempt to loot in Udupi city police station, murder case in Mangaluru south police station, case under arms act in Mangaluru north police station, attempt to murder case in Kavoor police station, Ganja sale case in Ullal police station and Kankanady city police station. In total, he has nine cases file against him.

ACP P A Hegde, police inspector Shyam Sundar H, PSI Narendra and personnel took part in the operation.
