Udupi: YouTube video helps trace missing youth, rejoin family

Udupi, Jul 24: A video that was uploaded on YouTube helped in tracing a missing youth in the city.

The youth, who went missing from Odisha and arrived at Udupi, re-joined his family due to the humanitarian help by social worker Vishu Shetty.

Deepak (18), who was mentally ill and roaming around Udupi city and bus stand area was admitted to rehabilitation centre at Uppoor by social worker Vishu Shetty. A YouTube channel by the name Great Indian ASMR visited the rehabilitation centre at Uppoor recently and provided lunch to the inmates of the facility. They made a video of inmates of the centre having food and uploaded the same on the YouTube channel.

A youth, who saw the video in Odisha, identified missing Deepak and informed his parents. They arrived in Udupi and took Deepak back to Odisha.
