Mangaluru: St Aloysius College, alumnus body felicitate Speaker U T Khader

Mangaluru, Jul 24: St Aloysius College Autonomous and St Aloysius College Alumni Association felicitated Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker U T Khader on Monday, July 24.

Speaking after being felicitated, Speaker U T Khader recalled his days at St Aloysius institutions.

He said, ’St Aloysius played a major role in accomplishing my goals in life. The felicitation conducted today should be a motivation for all the Aloysians. Only a politician has the power to advance in every field. You all have to be the architecture of future India. A speaker’s duty is to make others speak and work for the welfare of the community. The only country with humanities and value is our India."

He also shared the news that the Government of Karnataka will be introducing a programme for students on public administration and governance and the same will be implemented soon.

He requested the College authorities to implement the same in the degree syllabus as a subject so that the students can benefit from it.

Rector of St Aloysius Institutions Fr Melwin Pinto in his presidential remarks said, “Speaker U T Khader is a role model for all the Aloysians and also to the upcoming speakers." 

Registrar Dr Allwyn D’Sa, M G Mohan and members of alumni association were also present.

Principal Dr Praveen Martis SJ welcomed the gathering, president St Aloysius alumni association Sunil Kunder proposed the vote of thanks and Dinesh Nayak compered the event.
