New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS) It was a hot and humid start to the week for Delhi Monday as the minimum temperature was recorded two notches above average at 28.6 degrees Celsius and the humidity touched 74 percent.
"The skies will remain partly cloudy today (Monday), trapping the earth's heat, so it will be a hot day," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 37 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday, the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 28.3 and 37.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
