Bengaluru, Jul 27: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared that the Congress party's resounding victory in the State Assembly polls and the immediate measures taken to implement the 5 Guarantees have left both the BJP and JD(S) desperate, causing their leaders to spend sleepless nights. He made these remarks in Bengaluru on Thursday.

During the Congress Legislature Party meeting in the evening, Siddaramaiah emphasized that the 5 Congress Guarantees and the election results have proven to be 'game changers' in national politics.

Siddaramaiah promised to hold monthly meetings with all district in-charge ministers and Congress legislators from various districts. He urged the ruling party legislators not to fall prey to opposition gimmicks.

Calling the BJP and the Sangh Parivar 'factories of spreading fake news,' he accused the opposition party of perfecting the strategy of spreading false narratives multiple times and influencing the media to publish and debate on such issues. He advised the legislators not to fall for these falsehoods and propaganda and urged them to remain alert and vigilant.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the first priority for the new government is to implement the guarantees and address the economic challenges left by the previous BJP government. Preparing the government's own budget to set the right priorities is also crucial. Siddaramaiah assured that the government has taken all necessary steps to enable legislators to voice their views in the legislature.

Siddaramaiah acknowledged that due to his engagements in preparing budget proposals and reviewing government programs, he has been unable to address the problems of legislators promptly. Additionally, the Congress party hosted the conclave of all national opposition parties in the city, leading to delays in convening legislature party meetings.

He expressed pride in the widespread acceptance and positive media coverage of the guarantees' implementation, urging legislators to resolve any issues that may arise during the process. He also assured legislators that they can directly approach him with any problems in their constituencies, promising to address and resolve them.
