Sullia, Jul 29: A woman, who fell sick, was carried by a group of locals in order to take her to the hospital as there is no road to her house. This incident was reported from Ichlampady village of Kadaba taluk.

Savithri (62), wife of K Gopalan and a resident of Kernadka, is suffering from kidney-related ailment. She has to go to hospital in Puttur every alternate day. But her house does not have an asphalted road. The house lies at a distance from 250 meters from the main road. For a distance of 100 meters, there is a mud road. However, the next 150 meters has to be treaded on by foot.

On both sides of the way, there are farm lands belonging to other private individuals. As a vehicle cannot go through the road, Satish, son of Savithri, carries her every alternate day with the help of other locals.

The video of Savithri seated on a chair and being lifted to be taken to the main road has gone viral on social media.

Yes it is so hard to go through such roads .I know how it is in villages.Still it is not yet improved.Politicians promise during elections.but sadly forget soon after.Better in such conditions just rent a room or house near hospital for certain days ,so that treatment can be carried out ,instead of carrying hin and back .That makes also people who carry more sick.Or any relations in the nearby house?
