Mangaluru, Jul 29: Police on Wednesday arrested a man in who allegedly sexually assaulted and impregnated a 12-year-old girl.
The accused arrested is identified as Mohammed Shafi from Ullalpete.
The victim is studying in 8th standard. The accused was known to her.
Back in January, spotting her alone at her home, the accused sexually assaulted her. The accused constantly had physical relation with the minor on multiple occasions. The girl is now 6 months pregnant.
Woman police station and Ullal police station personnel arrested the accused and produced him to the court which sent him to 15 days judicial custody.
