Mangaluru, Jul 30: A car lost control and jumped over the road divider, crashing into a scooter traveling on the opposite side of the road, resulting in injuries to the scooter rider. This unfortunate accident occurred on Saturday morning near Kapikad of Thokkottu on NH 66.
Reportedly, the car was speeding from Thokkottu to Talapady when it reached Kapikad, leading to the collision with the scooter, which was headed from Kolya to Thokkottu. Fortunately, the scooter rider managed to escape with minor injuries.
Following the impact, the car got lodged in a roadside drain, while the driver and passenger of the car fled from the scene.
Mangaluru South Traffic Police visited the accident site and are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
