Mangaluru, Jul 30: The absconding accused in a POCSO case, a Konaje-based auto rickshaw driver, has been apprehended by the police for harassing a school girl.
The arrested individual has been identified as Iqbal, a resident of Amblamogaru. It is reported that during the month of June, he sexually harassed a ninth standard girl. Subsequently, the accused began calling her to him whwenver he was passing by her in his auto rickshaw.
After the girl informed her parents about the distressing incident, they filed a case against Iqbal on July 28. The auto driver went into hiding but was successfully traced by the police and arrested on July 29, following a two-day search operation.
