Bantwal, Jul 30: A tanker lorry loaded with cooking oil got buried in the mud-filled road at Kalladka on the Mangalore-Bangalore National Highway, resulting in a day-long traffic disruption on Sunday, July 30.

Around 2 pm, the unfortunate incident occurred, causing the lorry to become buried in the muddy road.

As a consequence, traffic was severely obstructed for a period of 5 hours throughout the day.

    Pumpout the oil to another tanker ,or to Bottles.People would be happy to have free oil.Driver should have taken care not to drive in that mud.One see it how road condition is.Still he thought will come through.As it is heavy no chance.Yes our roads .Nothing to say.

    Contractor..who dig the roadside for any work and didn't fill it properly must be brought to task by the concerned govt.

    No quick emergency equipment's / /services -- -- Roads are built without any safety -- provisions for such incidents -- no proper signs -- danger signs etc. -- POLICE -- With all modern communications-- mobile phones etc. -- -- lifting equipment's -- CRANES etc. -- WHY SO MUCH DELAYS -- LAKHS WOULD HAVE BEEN LOST IF WE CALCULATE ALL VEHICLES WAITING -- OTHER APPOINTMENTS ----ETC ETC -- this is more like a primitive country -- road block for 5 hours for one vehicle --
