The deceased is identified as Ankit G. He was on his way home after dropping his friend at Kulshekhar. As he reached the main entrance of Infant Jesus Church at Bikkarnakatte, he lost control over the bike as he tried to avoid a pothole on the road and hit a van that was parked beside the road.

Ankit fell into a drain after crashing into the van and received grievous injuries to his head. He was taken to Father Muller Hospital but the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

A case in this regard is filed at East traffic police station as the complaint filed by his friend Joshua.

Filling of potholes is not enough, they reappear (bigger in size) with the next drizzle. Many cities use paving machines where asphalt is laid and compressed. There is a gentle slope towards the edge of the road , so that water does not collect on the road. This has to be done prior to monsoon as a preventive measure.

Please arrest the officials immediately without any enquiry. And some andhbhakts have audacity to compare India with China, Europe or gulf. Accept the fact we have worst infrastructure, corrupt officials, 0 value for human life. Animal life>>>human life in this land

Wish someone from the politician's family end up in the potholes. Then only there will be supersonic streets without any hiccup of potholes or whatever

well regarding the potholes in that area and several accidents that have happened there taking all these critical situations the rider has to ride slowly at night especially during monsoon. day time is a different thing. also that bike is R15 sports, do you think R15 riders are slow o come on i seen it since decades how they ride.

May his soul RIP. We live in a third world country. Where infrastructure is so poor that people lose their lives. No wonder educated people are going abroad for good quality of life.

And those who recognize this harsh reality are cornered by pseudo nationalists. The truth is we have people on the global rich list. But lot of things needed to be done to improve quality of life for average citizen. Ankit lost his life because of pothole. We lose thousands of lives every year. Any authority held accountable? Any authority sued in the court for millions? The family suffers for lifetime. Who cares? Sometimes in order to improve our standards we need to learn from other developed countries around the world. Not behaving like frog in the well and thinking only we are greatest.
