New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS): Automobile major Tata Motors Tuesday launched its crossover car Aria's new variant - Aria 4x2 - priced at Rs.11.61 lakh onwards (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
"With the introduction of the Aria 4x2, we make the range comprehensive. The pleasure of the Aria, combining the finesse of a sedan with the muscle of an SUV, can now be availed by a larger customer segment," said P.M. Telang, managing director - India operations, Tata Motors.
According to the company, Aria 4x2 is being launched in three trim levels - the 'Aria Prestige' at the top end, the 'Aria Pleasure' and the 'Aria Pure'.
The company claims that the crossover car's new variants combine features and comfort of a sedan coupled with the power of a sports utility vehicle (SUV).
The car is powered by a 2.2 litre direct injection common rail (DICOR) engine, with variable turbine technology and 32-bit ECU delivers 140 PS power and 320 Nm torque.
"The new Mark II gearbox is perfectly mated to the engine ensuring smooth power delivery and precise shifting," the company said in a statement.
The statement added that the comfort levels are enhanced in the car as the suspension is designed to achieve an optimal balance between ride, control and stability, both on normal roads and in offloading.
