Sullia, Aug 2: A minor boy ended his life by hanging himself on Tuesday, August 1, at Aranthodu village's Biliyaari.

The boy is identified as Hansif (17), son of D Moosa and a resident of Biliyaara.

The boy's mother Shameera was away in Calicut to get treatment for her daughter when this incident happened. Hansif was alone at home. He called up his grandmother in the night and told her that he would end his life. When the boy's uncle came home on Tuesday, he found that Hansif had hanged himself and had remained in that position.

Hansif had completed his SSLC and had obtained admission into an ITI course. The classes were supposed to resume on August 1 and he had to attend to them. But, he was not interested in going to college and attending the class which he had made known to his family members. It is suspected that it is for this reason that he had ended his life.
