Puttur, Aug 3: In a proactive step towards enhancing the academic prospects of the students, the PG Department of Commerce and the PG Department of Social Work, in collaboration with the Placement CellSt. Philomena College, Puttur, organized a one-day workshop focused on 'Preparation for Competitive Exams.' The event took place on the 1st of August, 2023, the collegePG Seminar Hall.
The workshop, aimed at equipping students with effective strategies to excel in competitive examinations, featured Hariprasad, Assistant Professor in Commerce at Government First Grade College, Bettampady, as the distinguished resource person. The inauguration of the event was performed by Prof. Ganesh Bhat, Vice Principal of St Philomena College, who presided over the event too.
During the inaugural address, Prof. Ganesh Bhat encouraged the students to embrace diligence and perseverance in their academic pursuits. He commended the M.Com. and MSW departments for their initiative in organizing such a beneficial workshop. Hariprasad, the resource person, delivered insights into the significance of competitive exam preparation and shared valuable tactics for skill development.
The workshop garnered enthusiastic participation from a total of 91 students from the M. Com department and 38 students from the MSW department. MrHariprasad elucidated the intricacies of navigating competitive exams, emphasizing the importance of focused studies and thorough preparation. He underscored the role of social media and online learning tools as valuable aids in the preparation procedure. Furthermore, Hariprasad stressed the need for students to establish clear goals and objectives while aligning their exam choices with their individual priorities and preparation levels. His guidance resonated strongly with the attendees, fostering a sense of purpose and direction.The workshop on 'Preparation for Competitive Exams' proved to be a highly productive and enlightening experience for all attendees, equipping them with essential tools and perspectives to excel in their academic journey.
MrsSrimani, coordinator of the PG Department of Social Work, extended a warm welcome to all participants, while Ms. Pruthvi K introduced the esteemed resource person, Mr. Hariprasad. The program concluded on a note of gratitude, with Devika M delivering the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the workshop.
