Hyderabad, Aug 5 (IANS): The Telangana State Road Transportation Company (TSRTC) employees on Saturday protested against Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for delay in giving her consent on the bill aimed to absorbing 43,000 contractual employees under the government pay scale.The Governor has sought clarification from the government with regard to the bill.

After the development, the Governor has invited TSRTC union leaders to the Raj Bhavan.

The employees of the corporation wore black badges and shouted slogans against the Governor. They boycotted duties from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The bus services across Telangana are hit as the bus services were disrupted causing inconvenience to large number of passengers.

Following the protests, the Governor tweeted that pained to know about the strike. She opined that that it caused inconvenience to the public. She maintained that she is with the employees. The Governor stated that she is studying the bill to ensure safeguarding the rights of the employees.

The party workers of ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) also took part in the protest.
