Mangaluru, Aug 5: Displaying confidence, the young blooming sports stars of Carmel School capped their constancy and carried forward with impetus as stamped their victory individually in various events clinching the medals to seal success.
All India GSB Chess Tournament held on June 11 Manjeshwar and in the 3rd Inter District Open Rapid Chess Tournament held on June 18 at Mangaluru under-7 years girls' category, Madhavi Pai B of Grade 2 won the first place in both. She also bagged the third position in 3rd KCA Trophy Inter-district BLITZ Championship held on July 2, in Mangaluru and in Karnataka State under-7 Open and Girls' Chess Championships-2023 held at Shri R Gundu Rao Sports Complex, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru from June 23-25, Madhavi Pai B secured the 10th position.
She also participated in the 4th Inter District Rapid Chess Tournament held on July 29 held in Mangaluru and won the 3rd place. She also bagged the 3rd position on the merit list in the Karnataka State Open Rapid Chess Tournament ‘Konkan Trophy 2023’ held at Koteshwara.
Daksh P Shriyan of Grade 4 participated in State Level Non-Medalist Swimming Championship - 2023 conducted by Hassan Swimmers Club, Hassan and has won the second place in Mixed Freestyle Relay and 50 m back stroke.
Kahani Yogish of grade 4, secured the 9th place in the 3rd KCA Trophy Inter-District Childrens Rapid Championship U-9 category held on July at Banlambhat Hall, Mangaluru. She also participated in the 4th Inter District Rapid Chess Tournament held on July 29 held at Mangaluru and has won the 6th place.
Athmika G of Grade 3 achieved the 3rd Place in Green Belt Category in the National Level Open Karate Tournament 'Hi Fi Championship - 2023' held on July 15-16 at the Rajangana of Sri Krishna Math, Udupi.
Dhanvi Naik of grade 4 earned the first position.
Sreesha R Sreekanth of grade 5 earned the 3rd place.
Naima Sara Varghese of grade 5 obtained the third place in purple belt category.
Sr Lilly Pushpa - principal, Dr Sr Prem D'Souza - administrator, Sr Premal - vice principal and Sr Shanthi Laveena - coordinator wished the students the best in their journey to scale greater heights and thanked the parents for extending their support and helping them achieve milestones and triumphs.
