Missile-like object discovered near canal in Badli, Delhi Police says investigating


New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS): The Delhi Police received a PCR call on Sunday regarding a missile-like object which was discovered near a canal in the Badli area.

The recovered object measures 1.5 meters in length.

Ravi Kumar Singh, DCP of Outer North, confirmed the PCR call and stated that they are currently investigating the matter.

“At Shahbad Dairy Police Station, a PCR call was received at 7 p.m. reporting the discovery of a missile or missile-like object near the Khera River (canal) in the Rohini Sector 15 area. The object was retrieved from the canal,” he said.

He said that an old shell has been found in the Munak Canal in sector -28 Rohini, in the area of PS samaypur badli. “Prima facie it appears to be an old and hollow shell but all precautions are being taken to dispose it,” he said.
