CWG Scam: CBI Attaches Properties of Absconders

New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Wednesday attached the properties of three accused in the Commonwealth Games' timing, scoring and results (TSR) equipment contract scam, an official said.

"Orders have been issued to attach the properties of three absconding accused in the TSR scam. Our teams have so far attached movable properties," the official said.

Properties of Faridabad-based Gem International firm promoters -- Anil Madan and P.D. Arya -- were attached in Faridabad in Haryana and of the chief of Hyderabad-based firm AKR Constructions -- A.K. Reddy -- in Hyderabad.

"We can't ascertain now the exact amount of the movable properties attached," said the official.

All the three are accused and are named in the charge sheet to the court. The three have not appeared in court, and are on the run, officials said.

Of the 11 indicted in the Commonwealth Games TSR equipment scam, three are absconding, the CBI said.
