Mangalore: Murder of Srikant Anchan – Accused Nabbed

Mangalore, Aug 4: Relating to the killing of Sikant Kanchan, a resident of Mogaveerapatna near Ullal on the night of July 30, the Ullal police arrested two accused on Wednesday August 3 evening. The arrested men have been identified as Bharatesh Bangera, and his brother-in-law, Ahswin Putran. Both of them had gone missing since the last three days.

Reportedly, Srikant was in love with the sister of Bharatesh, and this had angered the latter. On this issue, a number of frictions had occurred between the two in the past. It is said that Bharatesh stabbed Srikant, who was standing near a shop in Ullal on the night of Saturday last, in the chest with a knife. Ashwin has been accused of helping Bharatesh in the task.
