Mangaluru, Aug 8: The Commission of Health, St Joseph the Worker Church, Neermarga conducted a health check-up camp under the auspices of Healthcare Diagnostic Laboratory Farangipet and Mediquest Healthcare Farangipet on August 6 at Neermarga Church Sambhram Hall.
Dr Thomas D’Souza, a Neermarga church parishioner, currently the bishop of Kolkata diocese was present at this function said, "Everyone should exercise due care towards their personal health and health of the family members. Christ being the true healer, let Him grant good health and protect all of us',” and added, “Let our care and concern for others not be just in words, but in deeds too.” He extended his best wishes to the programme organizers.
The parsh priest Fr Paul Pinto in his address said, "Health check-up at hospitals is a very time consuming affair. But when we have camps like these at our doorsteps, we must make the best use of it."
Msgr Dominic Gomes, vicar general, Kolkata diocese, PPC vice president and Health Commission convenor Francis Gonsalves, PPC secretary Usha Fernandes, coordinator of all commissions Maurice Renjal, and Saritha D'Souza from Mediquest Healthcare were on the dias.

Healthcare Diagnostic staff carried out various blood tests at concessional rates. BP, sugar and haemoglobin tests were done at free of cost. As many as 110 people derived benefit from the camp.
