Kasaragod, Aug 8: A mobile phone exploded near Parappa here on Tuesday. Pallatumoole resident Ravindran who was speaking on the mobile phone was injured in the incident.

His right hand was wounded in the incident. He was speaking on the mobile phone after he received a call.



As soon as he observed smoke in the handset he threw it out of fear which exploded.

It is said that his relative had given him the mobile phone handset that he had bought from abroad.

    @ Rudolf Rodrigues, Mumbai -Mangalore Cannot rule out! Olden days we had to handle monster size telephones and sometimes used to make use of one's own shoulders to come to rescue. Call duration was limited to max. few seconds, as the owner would remind time up 😔 No chances to heat up.

    Possibly, due to excessive non-interrupted use of mobile. Anything could heatup when romantic chat breaks the barriers.!😂💃

    Could be the romantic chat (high frequency) got teleported to the battery which heated up excessively and exploded!! 😂

    Now the phone cannot be over charge ….bcz once it’s charge 100% I will cut of the power suplly..then from where it get ower charge !???may due to battery over heat problem …

    In all branded smartphones various inbuilt safety features are incorporated, which protect the battery from getting shorted/overcharged!!
