It sounds like dowry issue. Many Hindu activists are protesting against minorities. But they are not helping their own people. First abolish dowry (many Hindu women are oppressed because of it), Second the caste system .

Anil, tradition of dowry system will never get abolished in this particular caste unless the level of the female education (especially in uneducated and poor families) is increased so that they are financially independent! In this particular case, the marriage appears to be pretty old for the dowry issue to surface! IMHO; it's the lure of big money and material things, which the capitalistic world is constantly propogating and spoiling gullible minds! These immature girls do not know how cruel the outside world is just in case they fall into wrong hands; then it's a one way ticket!!

Isn't dowry banned in India? iS uNTOUCHABILITY NOT BANNED: don;t we have Prevention of Atrocities against Dalits in India? How many laws can you pass to abolish the PRACTICE of casteism. It must start at the society level, even among families if one immediate relative is of a lower caste, she continually gets insulted and her children too by implication when they say your mother or father is ... (second or third class.....). Will humans change their heart? Can the zebra change its stripes?

Without a life supporter she would not have taken such a drastic step. Mystery is to solve the identity of an intermediate! There could be two reasons, either she was ill-treated by her husband or a redeemer came in her life to to share her problems. 🙏

Let us not speculate and only pray for their safety and well being... Human relations are very complex and many things can happen as part of larger life... Let's hope for their safe and happy reunion with their families...

Just walking out of the house like a stranger; what madness this is? Because of such cases getting highlighted in the media, there is a strong psychological tendency of the "contagion" spreading to many other such people who are thinking of eloping for whatever reasons best known to them! Smart phones are the biggest culprits, which act as catalysts in such cases!! Hope she has not fallen in the wrong hands!!
