NIA finds 24 Bangladeshi immigrants living illegally in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Aug 11 (IANS): During a search operation, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) tracked down 24 Bangladeshi nationals staying illegally in Bengaluru and handed them over to the local police, sources confirmed on Friday.

The police sources claimed that the NIA had on Monday tracked three illegal Bangladesh immigrants -- Khaleel Chaparasi, Abdul Khadir and Mohammad Zaheed -- during a search operation in the city's Bellandur area.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the immigrants, who are currently under the custody of the jurisdictional Bellandur police, had been staying illegally in the country since 2011.

They entered the country with the help of a broker by paying him Rs 20,000.

The illegal immigrants also managed to get Aadhaar cards, ration cards and other government identity cards.

The local police have lodged an FIR in this regard under the provision of the Foreigners Act under Section 14 (C), 14 (A) and Passports Act and are investigating the matter.

More details are awaited.

The Indian Immigration Authorities must be taken for being incompetent Illegal Bangladeshis living and working in Bangalore since 2011 and have obtained all the Indian cards such as Aadhar and Ration Card, and may be Passports too! It only goes to show how corrupt authorities in India are. African nationals are no less if detected. The Contractors and Restaurant owners in Bangalore must be penalised and licences suspended to teach them a lesson they will never forget. But who will bell the Cat! That's why it is important to issue Nationality ID Cards to all Indians and not all the other nonsense cards such as Aadhar and Ration Card and Drivers Licence for ID purpose. All countries have these.

If the central Govt decides it's a cake walk for them to arrest all of them and send them back.. They are using these migrants scapegoats to accuse the non BJP state govts of sheltering them and gain sympathy votes from the rightwing Hindutva supporters . Useful TIP to Delhi ...If you monitor the calls to their homeland for one month you will know who is from where and sent them back .

They are threat to our country by one or other day. Inside hidden enemies may join hands with these infiltrated Bangladeshis and creat havoc ant any point time. So we public should be very vigilant, and update local authority about such suspicious people.

This is only a tip of the iceberg. There might be hundreds or thousands of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in the state. NIA should be only determined to look for more illegal Bangladeshi immigrants not only in the state of Karnataka but the whole country.

I am sure if NIA would have tried hard, they would have found many more. Better round them up just before general election and keep them in custody until after the elections are over, Mamata will ensure that they will never leave West Bengal here after ever again. Most of these illegal immigrants have Aadhar and voter ID with address in one constituency in Kolkata is what I hear.

They will be mostly in Bangalore as it is easy to hide within the Muslim localities... Other cities will not attract them as they can not get as comfortable and also chances of isolation from others are high... This is a mafia of human trafficking's operating from a long time... As it is 6 months visa any Bangladeshi can get within minutes and it is easy to get lost among huge population of metro city... Unfortunately they will not add value to anywhere they go... They are like leeches and suck from the economy wherever they live...
