Mangalore, Aug 5: A woman named Cecilia D’Souza (70), a resident of Kelroy in Neermarga here, died on Thursday August 4 in the city, after being knocked down by a bus. She was engaged in selling flowers near Krishna Bhavan here.
She lived alone at Neermarga. It is gathered that her only son has been serving as a priest in a church in North India.
Cecilia had visited Hampankatta to buy more flowers, as the stock of flower with her had got exhausted early because of Nagara Panchami. She was returning to her place of business when a bus hit her. She was admitted into a hospital, but breathed her last without responding to treatments, in the evening.
