Bantwal, Aug 11: The taluk-level grievance meet was presided over by Bantwal tahsildar B S Koodalagi at the taluk panchayat auditorium.
The tahsildar gave details of 39.22 acres D C Manna land reserved in the taluk. “559 applications in all are received for it. As many as 49 applications are pending with the revenue department and 149 applications are pending with the revenue inspector,” he said.
The tahsildar asked the PDO to allow Ambedkar programme at the Ambedkar Bhavan. He said that there was no response from the PDO to the complaint that high mast lights are not being lit at the village colony.
Vishwanath Chandtimar directed the authorities to put up CCTV cameras at Bantwal taluk hospital premises to prevent thefts. He said that there is no phone to inform the revenue department when the department lift stops due to its malfunctioning.
“There is water seepage at several rooms of taluk administration building. A plan for Rs 10 lacs has been sent to the government through the deputy commissioner for undertaking repair works. The lift will also be repaired with the amount,” said the tahsildar.
Dalit leader Gangadhar said that there is a team blackmailing Dalit girls after obtaining their telephone numbers and called for legal action. “A man at Dandegoli, Budoli village performs black magic. Four people in our residence have died because of him. Police and other departments should take suitable action against him,” said the Dalit leader.
Honnappa Kunder has called for employing Scheduled Castes / Tribes members in the temple administration. “SCDCC Bank does not allow our committee members in the board committee. Suitable explanation is required for it,” he said.
“There were irregularities in digging borewells under the Ganga Kalyana scheme. Call them for the meeting and obtain their answer,” said a member in the meeting.
