Udupi, Aug 12: On the occasion of the 76th Independence Day celebration, Udupi District Youth Congress wull hold Yuva Bharath Cultural Competition-2023 on August 15 in Bannanje Narayanaguru auditorium.
Deepak Kotian, president Udupi district Youth Congress, addressing media on August 12 said, “On the occasion of the Independence Day, various cultural competitions will be organised at block Congress level. Cultural competitions like group singing, group dance, and skit competition will be held. Competitors from Udupi's ten blocks can participate, and each block will be given a time limit of 30 minutes. Cash prize will be distributed to the winners of each competition.
"The first place winners will be given a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and second place winners Rs 5000 cash. Champion team will take home Rs 50,000, first runner-up Rs 25,000 and second runner-up a cash prize of Rs 15,000," he said.
Lakshmi Hebbalkar, minister for women and family welfare and in-charge minster for Udupi district, will inaugurate the event. Deepak Kotian president Udupi district Youth Congress will be the president of the event, Vinay Kumar Sorake former MLA, and Ashok Kumar Kumar president Udupi district Congress will be the guests on the occasion. Mohammad Haris Nalpad president of Karnataka state Youth congress will be present during closing ceremony of the event. Bhavya Narasimhamurthy, AICC social media co-ordinator will be the resource person.
Shabarish Suvarna, chief secretary of district Youth Congress, Raviraj Udupi president Block Youth Congress, Mohammad Niyaaz chief secretary of district Youth Congress, Preethi J Salian district chief secretary, and Surayya Anjum Udupi district vice president were present.
