Ranchi, Aug 5 (IANS): Maoists have set on fire nine vehicles in two districts of Jharkhand, police said Friday.
Around 40-50 guerrillas Thursday night set ablaze seven vehicles involved in railway work in Posatta village in West Singhbhum district, 170 km from here, a police official said.
Three dumpers, one road roller and three JCB machines were set on fire by Maoists because they were said to ahve been denied levy.
In another incident in the night, Maoists set on fire two buses at Kedeg village of Gumla district. The buses were unoccupied when they were set ablaze.
