Beltangady: Cash, gold ornaments stolen from house in broad daylight

Beltangady, Aug 13: Thieves entered a house in broad daylight and stole cash and gold ornaments from a house at Ujire Kalle on August 12.

A complaint has been filed that 15 sovereigns of gold and Rs 20,000 in cash was stolen from Felix's house. When Felix’s daughter arrived home in the afternoon from college, the theft came to light. Felix had gone for centering work at Melanthabettu and his wife Gretta had gone to a local school for work.

Thieves entered the house through the backdoor. It is learnt that the thieves tried to break into two more houses nearby but were not successful.

DySP Gaurish, canine squad, FSL personnel and Belthangady police station personnel visited the spot and are investigating further.
