Bantwal: Bagalkot native labourer electrocuted while cutting grass

Bantwal, Aug 13: A  labourer who hailed from Bagalkot got electrocuted as the grass cutting machine came in contact with the wire of the borewell at Bogodi near Melkar in the taluk on Saturday, August 12.

Yamanappa (38), native of Bagalkot is the unfortunate victim of this tragedy. He was doing coolie work in the local area.

On Saturday morning, he was cutting grass that grew in the verandah of Saifuddin, a resident of Guddeangadi. He did not notice the wire of the borewell in the verandah. As he was cutting the grass, the wire of the borewell got entangled with the machine and got cut. Yamanappa was electrocuted and died on the spot.

A case has been filed with Bantwal city police station.
