Moodbidri man on pilgrimage to Medina dies of cardiac arrest

Moodbidri, Aug 14: A man, resident of Kodangallu near here, who went on pilgrimage of Medina, died of cardiac arrest on August 12.

Hamad (73), had gone to Medina pilgrimage with his family members two weeks ago. He was about to return on Saturday. As he was getting ready to go to the airport at Jeddah, he developed chest pain and though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed.

Hamad is survived by wife, two sons and four daughters.

Sources said that Hamad was buried in Medina itself on Sunday as per the local rules. Hamad had worked in gulf countries for 15 years and later settled down in his native place. He used to run an auto rickshaw for more than 25 years in Moodbidri town.
